BTUSA Enters Alternative International Event
Beard Team USA has three members competing this month at an alternative international sporting event taking place in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
Here’s who you need to root for in the upcoming games –
Marco Sullivan, official judge at the WBMC 2003 in Carson City, will be competing in the Downhill on February 13, the first day of competition. The Downhill is the Winter Olympics’ equivalent of Full Beard Natural. Marco has several world cup podia under his belt. A medal here would make his career! Marco rocks!
Nate Holland is a favorite to medal in Snowboard Cross on February 15. Nate has dominated this event at the Winter X-Games. Dominated? Can you say “fivepeat”? But he finished out of the money in Torino and hopes to bring home some gold for BTUSA this time.
Daron Rahlves, official judge at the WBMC 2003 in Carson City, stands a good chance of becoming the first-ever gold medalist in the brand new Olympic event, Ski Cross, taking place on February 21. Daron retired from an illustrious career as a downhill skier highlighted by a win at the famous Hahnenkamm in Austria to have kids (twins Dreyson and Miley) but returns to the Olympics for Ski Cross. Daron dislocated his hip in a scary crash on January 31 at the Winter X Games but will be back in action in Vancouver.
GO BTUSA!!!
