About
Seattle’s Keith “Gandhi Jones” Haubrich owns the Freestyle Moustache division at the World Beard and Moustache Championships, having taken gold in England in 2007, Alaska in 2009, and Norway in 2011.
Since the WBMC 2007 in Brighton, England, Keith “Gandhi Jones” Haubrich has single handedly taken over ownership of the Freestyle Moustache category, winning again in Anchorage and completing the three-peat in Trondheim. Gandhi’s moustache has appeared variously as his cat’s whiskers, a knife and fork, and the deuce of hearts.
Like Gandhi, Gandhi is a pacifist and a vegetarian.
For reasons that aren’t all that clear, sometimes Gandhi seems a bit backward.

first of all , excellent moustache , secondly , ghandi jones is a sweet name. well done.
Thanks, fellow Jones. This whiskers pic is from 2007. I won Best Freestyle Moustache again with a fork-and-spoon ‘stache at the World Championships in 2009, plus 3rd Best (overall) Moustache at the National Beard & Moustache Championships with my Scissor’stache. Stay tuned for more!
But wait, there’s more! I won 1st Place Freestyle Moustache in 2011 for the three-peat, with my moustache shaped into a pair of hearts – the Valentine’stache. Everyone loved it.
Congratulations! The Valentine’stache was just awesome.
BTW, what’s the story behind the name “Gandhi Jones”?
Gandhi Jones, “Peaceful Pimp” was born as a Halloween costume in 2003, featuring big round sunglasses with rhinestones around the rims, robes, sandals, shaved head w/moustache, and the obligatory gold toof. “An ego for an ego makes the whole world vain.” In addition to the hairstyles, M.K. Gandhi and I both share vegetarianism, idealism, pacifism, and many world travels.
These days, the Gandhi Jones brand incorporates other characters of my creation, such as Jean-Pierre Beaujolais (ultra-snooty Frenchman), Herr SchwanzKopf (menacing german biker/cop pleather daddy), Flesh Muppet (nam sdrawkcab <—), Alfredo Bonifaci di Vermicelli (Italian chef), Benedict Wellington III "but my colleages call me Benny Welly" (stuffy British food critic), etc.
Loved your aquatic theme! Thanks for your commitment to character.
