John Myatt2011 was a career year for Burbank, California’s John Myatt. At his first ever world championship, which was held in Norway in May, Myatt took silver in the Verdi category, behind Swiss veteran Karl Roos. At the Nationals in October, Myatt struck gold in the full beard groomed category, knocking of current world champ (full beard, styled moustache) Burke Kenny the great. John is the president of the Northern Los Angeles Beard and Moustache Club. As pres, Myatt served as host at the NLABMC’s highly successful competition held in August.
