Miss PA, a Steeler, and an Eagle to judge Beard Nationals!

Miss Pennsylvania Juliann Sheldon will serve on the panel of the of distinguished judges charged with the responsibility of choosing the best beards and moustaches in the country at the Beard Team USA National Beard and Moustache Championships in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, on October 8, 2011, Beard Team USA announced on August 26.

Also among the judges at the Nats will be beardsman and former Pittsburgh Steeler Justin Hartwig, starting Center for the Super Bowl winning 2009 Steelers and an Eagle who will be identified soon.

Miss PA, the Steeler, and the Eagle will join German bearding legend Willi Chevalier on the panel.

The Nationals, which promise to be the biggest event in the history of the sport of bearding. will be held at the Clipper Magazine Stadium, home of the Lancaster Barnstormers.

  1. I couldn’t be happier about Juliann Sheldon’s judging position on the panel for this year’s National Moustache and Beard Championships. As a female admirer of facial hair, it’s inspiring to see influential women assuring society that beards are not taboo, but a form of self-expression that deserves recognition.
