Beard Team USA is headed to World Beard and Moustache Championships in Leogang, Austria and will stop over in Munich, Germany for the world-famous Oktoberfest on the way. The best part is – you are invited to join the team for this memorable experience.
This will be the fifth time Beard Team USA has traveled to Europe for the world championships. Previous trips – to Berlin (2005), Brighton (2007), Norway (2009), and Germany (2009) – were great fun for everyone.
Here are the details on this year’s trip:
Itinerary:
Saturday, September 26 – depart USA for Munich, Germany. Note: you are responsible for arranging your own air transportation, which is not part of the group trip. Sunday, September 27 – Arrive in Munich. Monday, September 28 – Walking tour of Munich and visit to Oktoberfest (reserved seating). Tuesday, September 29 – Optional excursion to Oberammergau and the Zugspitze, the highest point in Germany. Wednesday, September 30 – Free day in Munich. Thursday, October 1 – Travel to Leogang, Austria. Friday, October 2 – Free day in Leogang. Evening welcoming party. Saturday, October 3 – World Beard and Moustache Championships 2015, Leogang, Austria. Sunday, October 4 – Free day in Leogang. Possible visit to Salzburg. Monday, October 5 – Return to Munich Airport for departure to USA. We will arrive at the Airport by 10 am, so please book an afternoon flight home.
Prices:
$ 950 per person, double occupancy. $ 1300 per person, single occupancy.
The group size is limited, so please book early to avoid disappointment. $200 per person will hold you a place. One-half of the total price is due by July 1, as this is when the hotel in Munich requires payment. Payment in full must be made by August 26.

4 nights’ hotel lodging in Munich, with breakfast. Walking tour in Munich. Reserved seating at Oktoberfest, including one entree and beer (of course!). Transportation from Munich to Leogang, Austria. 4 nights’ lodging in Leogang, with breakfast. Transportation from Leogang to the Munich Airport.
Not included in the price:
Airfare to and from Munich. Entry fee/admission to the World Beard and Moustache Championships. The entry fee for contestants will be approximately 25 euros. Admission for spectators will probably be free. Transfer from Munich Airport to hotel in Munich. Public transportation is available. Cost of optional excursion to Oberammergau or Zugspitze. Cost of possible visit to Salzburg.
