Hail to the Victors! The 2010 US Nationals Results

Making his first North American appearance, perennial World, European, and German Champion Willi Chevalier took top honors in the freestyle category at the Beard Team USA National Beard and Moustache Championships. Willi was also crowned “Best In Show” by crowd acclamation, winning a year’s supply of Docker’s Jeans to go along with his $1000 cash prize.
Other $1000 winners were Aarne Bielefeldt in full beard, Toot Joslin in partial beard, and newcomer Larry McClure in the moustache division. John Szerseen won the contestants’ raffle and walked away with another $1000.
There were over 200 competitors and an estimated 2000 fans in attendance. World champ Jack Passion served as host for the festivities.

Freestyle Division:
First: Willi Chevalier, Sigmaringen, Germany
Second: Paul Beisser, Santa Cruz, California
Third: Charles Earnshaw, Anchorage, Alaska
Beard Team USA is now accepting bids for the 2011 Beard Team USA National Beard and Moustache Championships.
Members voted overwhelmingly at the somewhat annual somewhat official BTUSA meeting held in Bend, Oregon on June 6 that the second ever Nats will take place in 2011.
Anyone interested in submitting a bid may do so. We are open to all ideas. We are especially interested in community support, accessibility, affordability, and the promise of good fun. Let us hear from you. Just email BTUSAFASAC Phil Olsen.

What a wonderfull experience, having a prize winning facial hair. I’m growing my all siver facial hair, may-be for next year’s contest. I’m a retired Barber for 40 year’s, and seen my share of beard’s and all facial hair combination’s. Thank-you Ervin B.
