The third annual Beard Team USA® National Beard and Moustache Championships® will take place on Sunday, November 11, 2012, in Downtown Las Vegas, Nevada.
For the first time in history, the Nationals will utilize an eighteen-category system based on the system commonly employed at the World Beard and Moustache Championships. The categories range from the delicate Dali moustache to the anything-goes full beard freestyle and are described in greater detail here. Information on rules and scoring is here. The championships are open to anyone, regardless of nationality, experience, or club affiliation. Members of local chapters of Beard Team USA will be able to compete for their chapters.
Registration for competitors is $40. Admission for spectators is $10.
The competition will take place at the Clark County Government Center Amphitheater, with lawn seating for 3000 beardsmen and their fans.
