To be sure, LA’s haul of six medals at the Just for Men National Beard and Moustache Championships was impressive.
But Maui’s haul of four medals was crushing!
Giant city Los Angeles has a metro area with a population of over 18 million. But tiny island Maui’s population is 144,444, according to the 2010 US Census. In other words, one Mauian for every 36,111 won a medal, while only one Angelino in over 3 million podiumed.
