Lutz Giese
The First Berlin Beard Club (est. 1996), led by its President Lutz Giese, current word champ in the Fu Manchu category (Trondheim 2011) and two-time world champ in the English moustache category (Ystad 1999, Anchorage 2009), will be competing at the National Beard and Moustache Championships in Las Vegas on November 11.
Other club members attending include Josef Ibach, Detleff ("Doc") Steinhöfel, and Tim Schwerdtner.
The Berlin Beard Club organized the highly successful World Beard and Moustache Championships in 2005 in the its home town, the capital of Germany, the birthplace of bearding.
